Miranda Kerr’s Organic Skin Care Secrets

Miranda Kerr Organic Skin Care

When Miranda Kerr started modelling full time at around eighteen she became aware of the nasty chemicals contained in most skincare products and searched to find a range of organic skincare products that were not only certified organic but also delivered results. She was unable to find anything on the market that delivered what she was looking for so decided to create her own range.

Miranda set up skincare brand KORA because she couldn’t find pure natural beauty products that delivered high performance results.

Miranda says

“Before launching KORA Organics, I spent years trying and testing the formulations myself until I was completely satisfied that the products were the best and most effective they could be, with proven results. The powerful, nourishing formulas use the highest grade certified organic ingredients, including Rosehip Oil, Noni and Chamomile. KORA Organics is the only skincare I personally use because it makes beautiful skin even more beautiful.

Our products were never formulated specifically for problematic skin…. Nature does not discriminate as to age, gender, problematic or healthy skin. The high active ingredients in our products penetrate the different layers of our skin to bring about and effect real change, whether your skin is problematic or not.

I believe there are many reasons why people suffer from problematic skin.

I feel, more often than not, it comes down to our lifestyle choices. There are definitely hereditary factors that also come into play but if you were to take those hereditary factors back to their original cause – I believe you would find , more often than not, nutritional deficiency of some sort that has been passed on through the genes.

It is amazing in a lifetime what we do to our bodies and even more amazing how our body’s cope with everything we do to them. I personally believe you can’t have beautiful skin on the outside if you are not looking after yourself on the inside – ultimately your outer self (skin) is a direct reflection of your inner self (inner health) so it is so important to give your body the nutrition it needs to perform it’s millions of functions daily. How many of us really do that? Why are our bodies “sick” on the inside? I believe there are many reasons, some of which are: lack of nutrition and high level of artificial flavourings, colours and chemicals in our foods and the large number of chemicals in our everyday personal care products.

A healthy digestion is the key to a healthy body – once we get the inside right by eating all of the right things and taking the necessary high level anti-oxidant supplements needed to sustain us – we then need to look at what we are actually putting on our skin.

Our skin is the largest organ in our body and therefore in our immune system. It is the barrier which ultimately protects our bodies from the outside world – yet what we put on our skin – soaks in. Nicotine, hormone or contraceptive transdermal patches (a transdermal patch is a medicated adhesive patch that is placed on the skin to deliver a specific dose of medication through the skin and into the bloodstream) are all examples of how products we put on our skin soak in and eventually end up in our bloodstream.

Think about how regularly we put our hands in chemical- ridden washing up detergent and washing powder, how often we clean with chemically loaded cleaning products and then how often we plaster ourselves with personal care products that contain Sulfates, Parabens, Synthetic fragrance, Synthetic colours, T.E.A., D.E.A., Glycols, Silicones, PEGS, Ethoxylate, Formaldehyde and a list of other things.”

Miranda’s daily skincare routine

Her daily skincare routine involves a simple three-step process:

1. Cleansing with the Foaming Cleanser
2. misting/toning with the Energising Citrus Mist
3. moisturising with the Hydrating Day & Night Cream

KORA Organics products have been designed specifically to work synergistically with each other so I suggest you do not buy just a toner or a cleanser, wait until you have used up your other products and purchase one of our three skin type packs.
Available for Oily / Combination Skin or Normal to Dry Skin or for Normal to Sensitive Skin.

Miranda also exfoliates 2 to 3 times a week, uses a mask 2 to 3 times a week and recommends you leave the mask on each time you use it for as long as possible (she sleeps in hers!) She uses the Recovery Eye Gel Cream morning and night before applying moisturiser.

Miranda’s final tip
“If you do nothing else for your skin, use certified organic products and as a minimum.”
